For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, please note that:

AFG Group” refers to ASEAN Fintech Group Ltd (“AFG”) and all its Related Companies and jointly controlled companies, including companies, branches, offices and other forms of presence operating outside of Malaysia.

Related Companies” refers to a company that is (i) the holding company of AFG; (ii) a subsidiary of AFG; (iii) a subsidiary of the holding company of AFG; or (iv) companies which are not subsidiaries of AFG but in which AFG has shareholdings (whether direct or indirect) of more than 20%.

2.1.19 To analyse your credit and repayment behavior as part of lending process (if any);

2.1.20 To assess financial and insurance risks;

2.1.21 To protect or enforce our rights to recover any debt owing to us;

2.1.22 To conduct anti-money laundering checks, for crime detection, investigation, prevention and prosecution;

2.1.23 To enforce and/or defend any of our rights; and

2.2 We hereby expressly guarantee that without your consent, we shall not supply any of your personal information to any unrelated third party for their own purposes unless it is required by law to do so.

3.2.1 Other entities within the AFG Group, whether in or outside Malaysia;

3.2.2 Companies and/or persons that act as our agents, affiliates, service providers, contractors, merchants, business partners, lawyers, auctioneers, valuers and/or professional advisers (including the employees, directors, sub-contractors, service providers, agents and professional advisors of all the aforesaid companies and/or persons);

3.2.3 Companies and/or organizations that assist us in processing and/or otherwise fulfilling transactions that you have requested;

3.2.4 Banks and/or financial institutions, credit reference agencies, credit reporting agencies or credit bureaus (including those established by central banks), escrow agents, any authority, central depository or depository agent in relation to the securities industry, the police, any other governmental or regulatory and authority or body, any insolvency department and our appointed debt recovery agents;

3.2.5 Any other persons under a duty of confidentiality to us (including any entities within the AFG Group) which has undertaken to keep such information confidential;

3.4 Additionally, the individual entities within the AFG Group, our merchants and strategic partners may contact you about products, services and offers, which we believe may be of interest to you or benefit you. Please be informed disclosure to other entities within the AFG Group for cross selling purposes shall not be effected if such disclosure is objected by you. Further, please also be informed that we will only disclose your personal information (which will not include information relating to your affairs or accounts) to third parties such as our merchants and strategic partners for marketing and promotional purposes where your express prior consent has been obtained and subject at all times to any laws (including regulations, guidelines and/or obligations) applicable to the AFG Group (whether in or outside Malaysia).

3.5 You may tell us at any time if you do not wish to receive direct marketing communications from us, from individual entities within the AFG Group and/or from our merchants and strategic partners by notifying us at the e-mail address given at the end of this Privacy Policy. Your latest written instructions to us will prevail. In certain instances where marketing communications from us are sent via browser push to your mobile device, you will have to follow certain prescribed steps to discontinue the receipt of marketing communications from us.

3.6 We will treat your personal information as private and confidential and will not disclose your information to anyone outside the AFG Group except:

3.6.1 where you have given your express consent as set out in our application form(s) and/or pursuant to your consent and authorisation as contained in this Privacy Policy and/or in the terms and conditions governing the products and services which you have with us;

3.6.2 where we are required or permitted to do so by law;

3.6.3 where required or authorised by any order of court, tribunal or authority, whether governmental or quasi-governmental with jurisdiction over AFG Group;
